Though nobody wants to think about emergency situations that might arise, someone has to if you're going to be ready for them and able to react appropriately.  By planning ahead you can make sure that you have systems in place to help your employees and others react to the situation, and by choosing to have a mass notification solution in place for emergencies you can make sure that they have all of the information that they need and that the information they have is correct and up-to-date.  Our mass notification solutions available to you, have one very important characteristic in common: they let you get in touch with your employees or anyone else who you need to let know about the situation in record time.

Why Mass Notification?
Though you might be wondering whether or not your business needs a mass notification solution, if you stop to think about the advantages that one of these systems could offer to you in an emergency situation it should become apparent that by having a mass notification solution you can both speed up the process of letting your employees know about emergencies as well as ensuring that the information that they receive is accurate and recent.  You can also be assured that you won't accidentally overlook anyone on your contact list or not be able to reach someone because they're out of the office, since most mass notification solutions will contact everyone on the established contact list automatically and can attempt to reach them using several different methods until the system receives a response to show that they have gotten the message.

Notification Methods
There are a variety of different contact methods which can be used by a mass notification solution to get your message out to everyone that needs to receive it.  Depending on the mass notification solution that you choose you may be able to send your emergency notices via e-mail, a recorded telephone message, fax, text messaging to pagers or cellular phones, and if the system is connected to your company's computer network you may even be able to have the message pop up on employees' computer screens.  If you set the system up properly messages will continue to be sent until the system receives a response, and if one method doesn't work then it can automatically try alternate methods of contact until it gets through to everyone that you're trying to reach.

Redundant and Follow-Up Notification
In order to make sure that your mass notification solution reaches everyone in as quick of a time as possible during emergencies, you may wish to utilize it to send redundant notifications using two or more of the methods described above at once.  This will ensure that no time is lost, as the system will notify employees and others using any method available to it instead of simply trying one to see if it works and then moving on to the next.  You might also wish to set up your mass notification solution to give follow-ups and updates to those who are registered with the system, so that you can keep them supplied with the latest information on the situation until everything has been resolved.
